Minimum wages have been revised in Nicaragua from 01 March 2025. The minimum wages are increased for the following sectors:
- For agriculture, forestry and fishing, from NIO5,721.17 to NIO5,950.02 per month;
- For fishing, from NIO8,699.23 to NIO9,047.20 per month;
- For mines and quarries, from NIO10,275.02 to NIO10,686.02 per month;
- For manufacturing, from NIO7,692.75 to NIO8,000.46 per month;
- For micro and small domestic craft and tourism industry, from NIO6,027.72 to NIO6,268.83 per month;
- For electricity and water, trade, restaurants and hotels, transport, storage and communications, from NIO10,493.79 to NIO10,913.54 per month;
- For construction, financial institutions and insurance, from NIO12,803.47 to NIO13,315.61 per month;
- For social and personal community services (incl domestic workers), from NIO8,020.47 to NIO8,341.29 per month; and
- For Central Government and Municipal, from NIO7,134.52 to NIO7,419.90 per month.
