Collective Agreements help workers secure good working conditions
Collective Agreements (also called Collective Bargaining Agreements or CBAs) are the outcome of Collective Bargaining, a process of negotiations between employees, employers and their representatives, such as trade unions and employers' associations. CBAs determine working conditions, wages and terms of employment.
Collective Agreements can:
- Improve wages, working conditions and job security
- Build trust between employers and employees
- Enable worker participation and equality at work
- Minimise labour turnover and disputes
- Help enterprises and economies adapt during an economic crisis
- Create resilient supply chains
