Research and Collaboration

WageIndicator was founded in close cooperation with academia, beginning with a strong partnership with the University of Amsterdam, where co-founder Professor Kea Tijdens was affiliated. This academic foundation continues to shape our research standards and long-term vision. Today, we collaborate with universities and research institutes worldwide, including Erasmus University Rotterdam, CELSI, FLAME University, and many others. WageIndicator’s work is built on three pillars: academics, journalism, and trade unionism. While these perspectives guide our activities, our global databases remain the heart of the organisation, providing independent and reliable labour market information across countries.
