Definitions
Guinea-Bissau has a government-mandated minimum wage. No worker in Guinea-Bissau can be paid less then this mandatory minimum rate of pay.
Employers in Guinea-Bissau who fail to pay the Minimum Wage may be subject to punishment by the government of Guinea-Bissau.
The minimum wage applies to the formal sector.
The minimum wages should be supplemented with a bag of rice per month.
