- Article 194 of Labour Code states that the normal working hours for a worker should be 8 hrs per day or 48 hrs per week (day time).

Paraguay has a government-mandated minimum wage. No worker in Paraguay can be paid less then this mandatory minimum rate of pay.
Employers in Paraguay who fail to pay the Minimum Wage may be subject to punishment by the government of Paraguay.

The Executive Branch formalized the readjustment of the minimum wage for workers, according to Decree No. 20146/19, dated June 28, 2019. The decision took effect from July 1, 2019.
