Minimum wages have been revised in Nicaragua from 01 March 2024. The minimum wages are increased for the following:
- For agriculture, forestry and fishing, from NIO5,196.34 to NIO5,721.17 per month;
- For fishing, from NIO7,901.21 to NIO8,699.23 per month;
- For mines and quarries, from NIO9,332.44 to NIO10,275.02 per month;
- For manufacturing, from NIO6,987.06 to NIO7,692.75 per month;
- For micro and small domestic craft and tourism industry, from NIO5,475.77 to NIO6,027.72 per month;
- For construction, financial institutions and insurance, from NIO11,628.95 to NIO12,803.47 per month;
- For social and personal community services (including domestic workers), from NIO7,284.71 to NIO8,020.47 per month; and
- For Central Government and Municipal, from NIO6,480.04 to NIO7,134.52 per month.
