Minimum Wage Updated in Nicaragua from 01 March 2023 - February 28, 2023

Minimum wages have been revised in Nicaragua from 01 March 2023. The minimum wages are increased for the following:

  • For agriculture, forestry and fishing, from NIO4,723.95 to NIO5,196.34 per month;
  • For fishing, from NIO7,182.92 to NIO7,901.21 per month;
  • For mines and quarries, from NIO8,484.04 to NIO9,332.44 per month;
  • For manufacturing, from NIO6,351.88 to NIO6,987.06 per month;
  • For micro and small domestic craft and tourism industry, from NIO4,977.07 to NIO5,475.77 per month;
  • For electricity and water; trade, restaurants and hotels, transport, storage and communications, from NIO8,664.68 to NIO9,531.14 per month;
  • For construction, financial institutions and insurance, from NIO10,571.78 to NIO11,628.95  per month;
  • For social and personal community services (incl domestic workers), from NIO6,622.47 to NIO7,284.71  per month; and
  • For Central Government and Municipal, from NIO5,890.95 to NIO6,480.04 per month.
