The minimum wage has been revised in the United Kingdom, with effect from 1 April 2023. The new national minimum and living wage rates are increased as follows:
- For adult rate: 23 years and older (national living wage, NLW), from £9.50 to £10.42 per hour;
- For adult rate: 21-22 years, from £9.18 to £10.18 per hour;
- For development rate: 18-20 years, from £6.83 to £7.49 per hour;
- For youth rate: under 18 years, from £4.81 to £5.28 per hour; and
- For apprentices rate: under 19 years or in the first year of training from £4.81 to £5.28 per hour.
