The minimum wage has been revised in the United Kingdom, effective from 1 April 2022. The new national minimum and living wage rates are increased as follow:
- For adult rate: 23 years and older (national living wage, NLW), from £8.91 to £9.50 per hour;
- For adult rate: 21-22 years, from £8.36 to £9.18 per hour;
- For development rate: 18-20 years, from £6.56 to £6.83 per hour;
- For youth rate: under 18 years, from £4.62 to £4.81 per hour; and
- For apprentices rate: under 19 years or in the first year of training, from£4.30 to £4.81 per hour
The minimum wage rates have been revised in the Isle of Man, United Kingdom, from 1 April 2022. The increased wage rates are as follow:
- For adult rate: 18 years and over, from £8.25 to £9.50 per hour;
- For youth rate: under 18 years, from £6.15 to £6.80 per hour; and
- For development workers, from £7.30 to £8.05 per hour
