Minimum wages have been revised in Nicaragua from 01 March 2022. The minimum wages are increased for the follows:
- For agriculture, forestry and fishing, from NIO4,414.91 to NIO4,723.95 per month;
- For fishing, from NIO6,713.01 to NIO7,182.92 per month;
- For mines and quarries, from NIO7,929.01 to NOI8,484.04 per month;
- For manufacturing, from NIO5,936.34 to NIO6,351.88 per month;
- For micro and small domestic craft and tourism industry, from NIO4,651.47to NIO4,977.07 per month;
- For electricity and water; trade, restaurants and hotels, transport, storage and communications, from NIO8,097.84 to NIO8,664.68 per month;
- For construction, financial institutions and insurance, from NIO9,880.17 to NIO10,571.78 per month;
- For social and personal community services (incl domestic workers), from to NIO6,189.23 to NIO6,622.47 per month; and
- For Central Government and Municipal, from NIO5,505.57 to NIO5,890.95 per month
