Minimum Wage Increased in Mozambique from 01 April 2022 - September 19, 2022

Mozambique's minimum wages have been revised from 01 April 2022. The minimum wages are increased for the following categories:

  • Agriculture, Livestock, Hunting and Forestry;
  • Industrial Fishing;
  • Kapenta fishing;
  • Mineral Extraction Industry - Large Industries;
  • Mineral Extraction Industry - Quarries, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises;
  • Mineral Extraction Industry - Salt minerals industry;
  • Manufacturing Industry - Industrial Sector;
  • Manufacturing Industry - Bakery Sector;
  • Production and Distribution of Electricity and Water - Large companies;
  • Production and Distribution of Electricity and Water - Small companies;
  • Construction;
  • Non-Financial Services Activities;
  • Financial services - Banks and insurance companies;
  • Financial Services - Microfinance; and
  • Hotel industry.
