The minimum hourly wage has been revised in the United Kingdom, with the effect from 1 April 2021.
The new national minimum and living wage rates follow as:
For the new categories, age 23 years and above, and 21 to 22 years, per hour wage rate is prescribed as £8.91 and £8.36 respectively.
For age 18 to 20 years, per hour minimum wage rate has increased from £6.45 to £6.56
For under 18 years, per hour minimum wage rate has increased from £4.55 to £4.62
For an apprentice, per hour wage rate has increased from £4.15 to £4.30
The statutory wage rates have been revised in the states of Guernsey, with the effect from 1 April 2021. The increased wage rates are as follow:
For an adult (18 years and over), from £8.50 to £8.70
For young (16 and 17 years old), from £8.05 to £8.25
