Minimum wages have been revised in Nicaragua, with effect from 01 March 2021. The minimum wage has been increased as follows:
For agriculture, forestry and fishing, from NIO4286.33 to NIO4,414.91 per month
For fishing, from NIO6,517.50 to NIO6,713.01 per month
For mines and quarries, from NIO7,698.07 to NIO7,929.01 per month
For manufacturing, from NIO5,763.44 to NIO5,936.34 per month
For micro and small domestic craft and tourism industry, from NIO4,607.42 to NIO4,651.47 per month
For electricity and water; trade, restaurants and hotels, transport, storage and communications, from NIO7,861.99 to NIO8,097.84 per month
For construction, financial institutions and insurance, from NIO9,592.40 to NIO9,880.17 per month
For social and personal community services (incl domestic workers), from NIO6,008.97 to NIO6,189.23 per month
For Central Government and Municipal, from NIO5,345.24 to NIO5,505.57 per month
