Minimum wages have been revised in Costa Rica with effect from 01 January. The minimum wage has been increased on the basis of skill/education level as follows:
For unskilled worker, from CRC 10,620 to CRC 10,652.48 per day
For semi-skilled worker, from CRC 11,549 to CRC 11,5833.80 per day
For skilled worker, from CRC 11,761 to CRC 11,797.05 per day
For specialized worker, from CRC 13,872 to CRC 13,914.32 per day
For Generic unskilled worker, from CRC 316,964 to CRC 317,915.58 per month
For General semi-skilled worker, from CRC 341,004 to CRC 342,027.40 per month
For Generic skilled worker, from CRC 358,468 to CRC 359544.27 per month
For General highly skilled, from CRC 402,556 to CRC 403,764.18 per month
For Technical worker - Diversified Education, from CRC 375,649 to CRC 376,776.77 per month
For Technical worker - Superior Education, from CRC 462,947 to CRC 464,335.93 per month
For Technical worker - Diploma of Higher Education, from CRC 500,000 to CRC 501,500.15 per month
For Technical worker - Bachelors University, from CRC 567,118 to CRC 568,819.86 per month
For Technical worker - University Graduate, from CRC 680,565 to CRC 682,607.23 per month
For Superior Specialization worker, from CRC 21,529 to CRC 21,593.6o per day
