Minimum Wage Updates in Panama - January 01, 2020

The minimum wages have been revised in Panama, with effect from 01 January. The minimum wages have been increased for the following industries:

  • Agriculture, livestock, hunting, forestry, aquaculture, fishing, agribusiness
  • Quarry exploitation (national)
  • Manufacturing industries
  • Supply of electricity, gas, steam, air conditioning (national)
  • Water supply, sewerage, waste management and sanitation activities (national)
  • Building
  • Retail, wholesale and commissions
  • Free zones, special economic zones
  • Hotels and restaurants
  • Transportation, storage, deposits and mail
  • Information and communication (national)
  • Real estate, financial and insurance activities (national)
  • Administrative activities and support services (national)
  • Professional, scientific and technical activities (national)
  • Teaching (administrative staff)
  • Social services and related to human health
  • Arts, training and creativity (national)
  • Other service activities
  • Activities of extraterritorial organizations and bodies (national)
