The minimum wages have been revised in Panama, with effect from 01 January. The minimum wages have been increased for the following industries:
- Agriculture, livestock, hunting, forestry, aquaculture, fishing, agribusiness
- Quarry exploitation (national)
- Manufacturing industries
- Supply of electricity, gas, steam, air conditioning (national)
- Water supply, sewerage, waste management and sanitation activities (national)
- Building
- Retail, wholesale and commissions
- Free zones, special economic zones
- Hotels and restaurants
- Transportation, storage, deposits and mail
- Information and communication (national)
- Real estate, financial and insurance activities (national)
- Administrative activities and support services (national)
- Professional, scientific and technical activities (national)
- Teaching (administrative staff)
- Social services and related to human health
- Arts, training and creativity (national)
- Other service activities
- Activities of extraterritorial organizations and bodies (national)
