Trade union SES (health and social service wokers union) has launched a nationwide strike on 14 March in protest against the privatisation of healthcare, worsening working conditions, and a lack of investment in public health services. SES members are demanding secure contracts, better wages, and improved working conditions, warning that the Government’s policies are harming both workers and patients. Also trade union Saghlik-Is staged its third protest against employer delays in collective negotiations for the healthcare workers employed at the university. Members carried out a one-hour work stoppage, calling for fair wages and improved conditions. Union representatives declared that resistance would continue until their demands were met.
