A major industrial dispute is brewing in the construction sector. According to the unions Unia and Syna, nearly 20,000 construction workers voted overwhelmingly (89.7%) in favour of strike action if the employer side does not change its stance. The core issues are family-friendly working hours, working conditions and the failure so far to reach agreement on the national collective agreement for 2026.
