As of 27 October 2025, the strike by IF Metall at Tesla’s service workshops will mark its second anniversary, making it the longest continuous industrial conflict in the country. The union is demanding that Tesla accept standard collective agreement terms, but Tesla management continues to resist. Following talks between IF Metall and Tesla’s Swedish management, with the involvement of the National Mediation Office, it is clear that the parties remain far apart in the ongoing dispute over collective agreements at Tesla’s facilities.
