Sweden - Confederation demands 4.2% wage increase - January 31, 2025

Union confederation LO wants to see wage increases of 4.2%, a special low-wage initiative and increased overtime compensation for part-time employees. During the current agreement period (since April 2023), wages throughout the economy have increased by almost 4% per year. Now the unions that are part of the LO coordination have a clear ambition to continue with a high wage increase in the future. The compensation for overtime should be increased. Overtime compensation is received by part-time employees when they work more than their agreed working hours.
