Spain - Madrid airport security staff strike - September 30, 2025

Over 800 security workers employed by Trablisa at Madrid-Barajas airport began an indefinite strike over failed wage and workload negotiations. Workers stated that their workload “by far exceeds” that of other airports in the country. The walkout has caused prolonged queues at security checkpoints, flight delays and cancellations. Airport operator AENA has confirmed severe disruptions.
