On 31 October the telecommunications operator MasOrange announced its first-ever collective agreement with trade unions. The agreement covers wage increases and working-time provisions and signals a stronger willingness among private-sector companies to engage in formal collective bargaining. It is valid for three years (2026-2028) and includes several measures aimed at improving the work-life balance of employees. In that regard, total working hours will be reduced to 1,700 a year, including flexible entry and exit times and an intensive workday on Fridays.
