On 30 October public-sector unions mobilised in front of the Ministry of Labour headquarters in Madrid to demand that the Government present a concrete pay offer for 2025. They emphasised that negotiations must commence immediately and warned of a general strike if no real offer is tabled. Among their demands: indexing salaries to pensions, ending job-replacement freezes, recruiting more public service staff, and a 35-hour working week. The move reflects heightened pressure within the national social dialogue framework.
