Thousands rallied across more than a dozen cities against austerity measures and the pro-Russian tilt of the Government. Demonstrators included trade unions and citizens opposing tax hikes, social insurance increases, and cuts to public services. Unions claim ordinary people will be hit most while businesses complain the measures do not include anything to boost the economy.
