A new special collective agreement for construction and the building materials industry was published in the official gazette and enters into force on 13 September 2025. The agreement sets out detailed rights, obligations, working time, wage rules, and protections for employees across the construction sector, and aims to cover employers even beyond union membership. The agreement applies to all employees of employers whose main activity is construction and the building materials industry, except for directors and persons who have a separate employment contract. This agreement is a step toward strengthening sector-wide norm setting in traditionally fragmented industries.
