Serbia - Minimum wage to increase to € 500, unions demand € 600 - August 31, 2025

As of 1 October, the minimum wage will increase by 9.4% from 53,592 dinars (€ 457) to 58,630 dinars (€ 500). For 2026, the Government announced an increase to 64,460 dinars (€ 550). This decision was made on 15 July during a meeting of the Social-Economic Council (Socijalno-ekonomski savet, SES). The Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia (SSSS) has proposed that the minimum wage for 2026 be set at 70,000 dinars (€ 600). They assessed the Government’s proposal of a 10.1% increase as insufficient, arguing that inflation would soon “eat it up.”.
