As of 1 January, according to the decision of the Social and Economic Council, the minimum wage increased by 13.7%, and the minimum hourly wage from 271 (€ 2.31) to 308 dinars (€ 2.63). According to official data, around 100.000 workers receive the minimum wage, while the unions claim that many more employees earn that much per month.
