Serbia - Minimum wage among lowest in Europe - April 30, 2025

The minimum wage in the country remains among the lowest in Europe, according to statistical data. Only North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine report lower labour costs. For the first time this year, the average minimum wage has been aligned with the minimum consumer basket, amounting to 53,592 dinars (€ 457) net, and € 619 gross. However, this amount is still below the minimum wage in countries with which Serbia is frequently compared, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina (€ 510) and Montenegro (€ 670).
