The Federation of Railway Transport Workers’ Unions announced the intention of its members to go on strike starting 1 February due to recent Government measures that cut their overtime and cancelled trains. Railway workers ended the previous week with a protest meant as a warning to the Government. They held a rally expressing dissatisfaction with the recent Government decisions and planned layoffs at the state railway companies.
