The Government approved the procedure for applying the mechanism for establishing and updating the minimum pretax basic salary in the country completing the process of transposing the Minimum Wage Directive, which aims to ensure an adequate minimum wage for all workers. According to the Ministry of Labour Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, this approach is a commitment to improving the working and living conditions of workers. The measure provides predictability to employers and security to employees and contributes to increasing the standard of living by ensuring a fair remuneration system. The guaranteed minimum gross wage will be established against clear indicators, namely: purchasing power, taking into account the cost of living; the general level of salaries; the growth rate of wages; labour productivity nationwide.
