Poland - 3% minimum wage hike in 2026 - August 31, 2025

The Government has reaffirmed its plan to raise the national minimum wage by 3% in 2026, increasing it to PLN 4,806 (€ 1,130) per month on 1 January 2026. The minimum hourly wage would rise to PLN 31.40 (€ 7.35,) under the proposal, Government officials said this week. The proposed changes were presented last month to the Council for Social Dialogue, which includes representatives of the G0vernment, employers and trade unions. However, the group failed to reach a consensus. Trade unions have criticised the proposal, arguing the minimum monthly wage should rise to at least PLN 5,015 (€ 1,175) next year. Employer groups, meanwhile, have described the government's plan as a compromise.
