Netherlands - Union demands 6% pay increase - September 30, 2025

On 15 September, the members' parliament of FNV union, the largest Dutch union, adopted the terms of employment agenda and the wage demand for 2026. FNV will demand a 6% wage increase in the upcoming collective bargaining season. Besides fair pay, the agenda also addresses security, permanent contracts for structural work, work quality, and reducing workloads. CNV, the second largest union, is aiming for a 3.5% to 5% wage increase in the upcoming collective bargaining season. The CNV will also focus on the life-course collective agreement in the coming year.
