The regional strike actions in pharmacies announced for the consecutive week are called off for the time being. Unions FNV and CNV are responding to the order given by the Ministers of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment to a former politician to explore how the long-running collective bargaining conflict can be resolved. The unions say that the ministers acknowledge that good pharmacy care is very important now and in the future. They also note that the remuneration of pharmacy employees is lagging behind. By suspending the actions the unions want to show their good will. The conflict over a new collective agreement for pharmacy employees has been deadlocked for months.
