For the third week in a row, strikes took place at various universities and universities of applied science to protest the Government’s intention to cut their budget. The Government wants to cut € 1 billion from spending on higher education, including stop funding grants for young researchers. The strikes in higher education are organised by the trade unions FNV and AOb, WOinActie (Higher Education in Action), student unions and other groups.
