Netherlands - Strike by agency workers - June 30, 2025

Hundreds of temporary agency workers will go on strike starting 25 June at distribution centers of supermarket chain Albert Heijn. They will take action because they want improved conditions in the collective agreement, the union FNV has announced. Almost half of the workers in the distribution centers are agency workers. Recently, the association of temporary work agencies (ABU) concluded a collective agreement with the small union LBV, after the large unions FNV and CNV left the negotiation table. They said that the new collective agreement is unacceptable.
