Netherlands - New collective agreement for insurance industry - February 28, 2025

After seven rounds of negotiations the unions reached a negotiation result for the new collective agreement for insurance companies. The collective agreement runs from 1 January 2025, to 30 June 2026. Salaries will increase in three steps by 3% as of 1 January 2025, by 2% as of 1 July 2025, and by 2% as of 1 January 2026. The minimum hourly wage will be € 16 gross per hour from 1 January 2025. The youth wage scales will be abolished. The regulations for additional and overtime work are being simplified, with the same compensation for both full-time and part-time employees. Parental leave will be extended to 75% of the last earned salary. A 'union month' is organised and union membership is reimbursed by the employer.
