Netherlands - New agreement for mental healthcare workers - March 31, 2025

A new collective agreement was reached between the healthcare unions and the employers’ organization NLggz for the more than 83,000 employees in mental health care (GGZ). Salaries will increase by 3.58% in 2025 and by 3% in 2026. The minimum wage will become € 16 and starting wage scales will be abolished. An improvement of the so-called balance budget should help to reduce the workload and absenteeism. Employees can choose between more free time or money.
