Luxembourg - Collective agreement for airport cargo workers - January 31, 2025

Trade unions LCGB and OGBL struck a deal with the management of Luxair to protect the contracts of 1,200 airport cargo workers. The parties signed their first collective agreement after transfer of licences from Luxair to Cargolux subsidiary in 2023. The new licences were awarded to Luxcargo Handling, a subsidiary of state-owned freight airline Cargolux, and Goldair Handling. The collective agreement promises that no staff will be let go for economic reasons if there are too many workers, and all employees impacted by the transfer from Luxair to Luxcargo Handling are due a pay increase.
