The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) is concerned about the extremely low level of collective bargaining in Lithuania, which is hurting the country's workers. Collective bargaining coverage is about 27%. However, it praises Lithuania for its efforts to catch up with Western European countries by raising the minimum wage and thus applying the European Union's Minimum Wage Directive.
