The country is facing major problems with its 24-hour care model. The IGR Bodensee (Lake Constance Workers' Union), consisting of unions from the four-country region, drew attention to the precarious working conditions during the press tour and presented its demands. A new standard employment contract (NAV) is intended to improve conditions in Liechtenstein. However, the union LANV believes progress in this area is not moving fast enough. The union demands equal treatment of 24-hour caregivers and other nursing occupations with respect to pay and rights.
