Thyssenkrupp Presta, a supplier of steering systems operating across Switzerland and Liechtenstein, announced plans to cut up to 570 jobs in both countries as part of a restructuring effort. The layoffs will particularly affect operations in Liechtenstein, where many employees are engaged in manufacturing roles. This development raises concerns over regionally dependent industries and the vulnerability of small economies to global shifts in the automotive sector. The move may also prompt union responses or calls for state support to mitigate job losses.
