Latvia - Wage growth lags Baltic neighbours - September 30, 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, wages rose by 8.5% year on year, according to Eurostat. However, this increase was more modest compared to Estonia (10.3%) and Lithuania (9.4%). The comparatively lower wage growth is putting pressure on Latvian unions to demand more robust adjustments in forthcoming collective bargaining rounds.
