Italy - New bill on wages and collective bargaining - September 30, 2025

Bill No. 957, containing the "Delegations to the Government regarding workers' compensation and collective bargaining, as well as control and information procedures," has been definitively approved. The law, approved first by the Chamber of Deputies on 6 December 2023, and then by the Senate on 23 September 2025, mandates the Government to adopt, within six months of its entry into force, decrees aimed at ensuring fair and equitable wages for workers; combating underpaid work; encouraging the renewal of national collective agreements; and combating unfair competition.
