Italy - Nationwide air transport strike - September 30, 2025

A 24‑hour strike involving airline crews, ground staff and airport personnel took place on 26 September coordinated by unions from Volotea, Wizz Air, and other carriers. Major airports saw cancellations and delays. The civil aviation regulator ENAC mandated minimum levels of service during peak intervals to mitigate disruption. The walkout, part of a series of transport strikes scheduled through October, highlights ongoing disputes between workers and operators in the aviation sector.
