Italy - Electricity sector makes AI a new topic of social dialogue - February 28, 2025

The employers' organisations Elettricità Futura and Utilitalia, the major companies in the sector including Enel and Terna, and the trade unions Filctem-Cgil, Flaei-Cisl and Uiltec signed a deal to renew the collective agreement for the electricity sector. In addition to an increase of minimum pay by € 290, the agreement provides for advances in workers' rights and training. It also introduces the topic of artificial intelligence into industrial relations at the sector and company level. The collective agreement covers approximately 60,000 employees in almost 130 companies.
