It cannot be ruled out that the three-year wage agreement reached in November 2024 will have to be renegotiated in the fall. Due to weaker-than-expected GDP figures and higher inflation, the clause in the agreement may come into effect, paving the way for renegotiation. The unions are not averse to this, as the mechanism would automatically result in a smaller minimum wage increase coming into effect on 1 January 2026 than what was agreed last year.
