The Government will implement a 15% wage increase in the social and cultural sector in January 2026. It has not been clarified what the announcement should be compared to or what it applies to. According to the trade unions, it is not yet clear what the Government's measure means, nor whether it will solve the problems of the two sectors and whether it will be possible to catch up with the severely lagging wages of workers. They warn that unless broader collective-bargaining mechanisms are strengthened and transparency in terms improved, industrial action remains a possibility. The move underlines how sectoral negotiations continue alongside national minimum-wage talks.
