The average gross monthly earnings of full-time employees reached HUF 714,400 (€ 1,767) in March 2025, marking an 8.5% increase year-on-year, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Net earnings stood at HUF 490,400 (€ 1,213), rising by 8.4% year-on-year. Adjusted for inflation, real earnings rose by 3.5% as consumer prices were up by 4.7% over the same period. Over the first quarter of 2025, average gross earnings were HUF 680,400 (€ 1,683) and average net earnings HUF 467,600 (€ 1,156), reflecting annual growth rates of 9.2% and 9.1%, respectively.
