Trade union ver.di is continuing its warning strikes in the ongoing collective bargaining conflict with postal company Deutsche Post AG. On 28 February and 1 March employees in letter, parcel and combined delivery as well as in service branches at selected locations stopped work. There have already been work stoppages in the parcel centres and delivery in the preceding days. The background to the strikes is what ver.di believes is the inadequate offer from the employers: a wage increase of 1.8% from July 2025 and a further 2.0% from October 2026. The union is demanding 7% more pay with a contract term of twelve months and additional vacation days.
