On 27 October 2025, employees at the Coca-Cola plants in Halle and Weimar brought production and bottling to a complete standstill with a warning strike. All shifts participated, resulting in the plants being shut down for several hours. The NGG union sharply criticized the company's offer. Coca-Cola rejected a wage increase for 2025 and offered only a 1.5% increase for 2026. The NGG, however, demanded an advance payment of €150 followed by a further 5% increase. Trainees' salaries should rise by €120. The collective agreement should have a term of 12 months. Strikes had already taken place last week at the Genshagen production site in Brandenburg. Now, actions followed in Halle and Weimar.
