Germany - New agreement in minerals industry - May 31, 2025

After intensive negotiations and significant commitment from the companies, a new collective agreement has been reached for the Bavarian Stones and Minerals Industry. Wages, salaries, and training allowances will increase by a total of 5.75% in two stages. From 1 June 2025, there will be an initial increase of 2.45%. For example, for wage group 4 in the natural stone industry, this means an hourly wage increase from € 22.90 to € 23.46. In the cement industry (wage group 5), the hourly wage will increase from € 23.69 to € 24.27. From 1 March 2026, a further increase of 3.3% will follow. The hourly wage in wage group 4 (natural stone industry) will then rise to € 24.24 and in wage group 5 (cement industry) to € 25.07.
